The Hammer was in full effect Friday night as the Eagles opened
region play by crushing East Clarendon by a score of 56-0. The offensive outburst accounted for
420 yards on just 35 carries.
The Scott's Branch offensive line looked liked seasoned veterans opening up holes for the dynamic
duo. Quinton Singleton made the most of his 15 carries as he rushed for 241 yards and scored five
touchdowns (THAT'S A TOUCHDOWN EVERY 3 CARRIES). Kadeem Baxter added 152 yards and two touchdowns
on his 15 carries. Anton Brown hooked up with Jerrell Adams from 20 yards out to account for the
other Eagles touchdown.
Despite owning a 2-4 record on the season, the Eagles are more importantly 1-0 in region play. The
Eagles look to make it 2-0 when they travel to Lamar on Friday
The Hammer came down heavy and the Hammer came down often as the
Scott's Branch offense scored 40 points for the second straight week. Unfortunately, the defense was
not so lucky as the Eagles dropped a 56-40 decision to Burke.
Quinton Singleton rushed for 215 yards and a touchdown while Kadeem Baxter had 152 yards to go along
with his four touchdowns. Tim Bryant, Shane Bennet, Joshua Lee and Dwayne Salley each sacked the Burke
quarterback and Jerrell Adams pulled down an interception.
The Eagles look to put all the pieces together on Friday when they begin regional play. East Clarendon
comes to town with an identical 1-4 record on the season.

Quinton Singleton named Chick-Fil-A/The Item Offensive Player of the Week
The Eagles earned a hard fought 40-35 victory Friday night over Swansea in a complete
team effort. Offensively, The Hammer came alive as Scott's Branch erupted for 525 yards rushing and six touchdowns.
Quinton Singleton put on a show as he rushed for 325 yards and 5 touchdowns on 32 carries. Kadeem Baxter had another
strong performance as he rushed for 186 yards on 23 carries, scoring a touchdown and finding the endzone twice more on
conversion rushes.
Defensively, several players chipped in to help the Eagles bring home the victory. Everett Rendell led the way as he
had a team high 10 tackles. Tim Bryant had 8 tackles to go along with a QB sack. Kendrick Jackson also had a QB sack
and a fumble recovery, while Shane Bennett had two fumble recoveries.
The Eagles look to make it two straight when Burke comes to town Friday.
The Eagles fell to 0-3 on the season following their 54-6 loss
to Marlboro County. Most teams would look upon the early season as a failure. However, to be
the best you need to play the best. Last year's State Championship team started the season with a
less than stellar 1-2 record.
Despite the lopsided loss Kadeem Baxter had a career night as he rushed for 196 yards on 34 carries and
scored the Eagles touchdown. During the first two games it was the Quinton Singleton show. With the
emergence of Baxter the offense is turning into a two-headed monster.
The Eagles look to bring down the Hammer and gain their first victory when they travel to Swansea on Friday.
Eagles hope to play well against Marlboro County
Going into the second quarter of their game against Timberland,
it looked as if Scott's Branch might just pulloff the near impossible. The bottom soon fell out as
the Eagles were outscored 21-6 during the second quarter. Timberland would put the game out of reach
with two touchdowns in the 3rd quarter. Touchdowns by both squads during the 4th quarter would
account for the remaining points in the 42-14 loss.
Quinton Singleton had another stellar performance as he rushed for 202 yards and a touchdown. For
the second straight week Anton Brown hooked with Jerrell Adams via the passing game, this time from
53 yards out
The Eagles hit the road again as they travel to Bennettsville next Friday to take on Marlboro County.
Scott's Branch hoping for a win
The Eagles struggled Friday night as they dropped a 22-6 decision to McBee.
Quinton Singleton rushed for 130 yards on 22 carries. Jerrell Adams scored
for the Eagles when he caught a 15-yard pass from Anton Brown.
The Eagles looks to rebound next Friday when they hit the road to take on Timberland.
